Jenny Urquhart
Jenny’s paintings are usually bold and contemporary and reflect her life-long love affair with Bristol and the South West. Largely working from memory, she experiments with acrylic, collage, ink and digital mediums to create contemporary and colourful images of her favourite places!
Jenny comes from a scientific background and originally studied Biology at Oxford University. She then went on to teach secondary science for ten years. In 2011, Jenny gave it all up and decided to follow her dream of being an artist. She started painting from her kitchen table, but now has a studio in her loft. “The Bristol is a vibrant city, heaving with culture and worth exploring. My aim is for my paintings to bring just a little bit of that into people’s homes!” Jenny has recently painted two 5 ft Shaun the Sheep statues for the ‘Shaun in the City’ Arts Trail, a charity event to raise money for sick children in UK hospitals. The event is organised by Aardmas’s Grand Appeal, following the success of ‘Gromit Unleashed’ in 2013. email - [email protected] https://www.facebook.com/#!/jenny.urquhart.9 website - www.jennysgallery.co.uk mobile - 07703032106 |
